Jarmo Virtanen
A new arrival to the zone, but an experienced volunteer soldier. Jarmo is a man twenty-six years of age who cut his teeth initially in cross-country skiing youth organizations, and quickly turned his love of the outdoors to military service upon reaching 18 years of age. Having spent his time in the 'stifling' environment of the Finnish Army for eight years, he has turned his happy-go-lucky attitude which got him nowhere in the military to a life of worldly adventure; of which will be financed from his time in the zone. Awestruck by the natural and supernatural beauty of the exclusion zone, he finds himself eager to strike out a life as a guide and marksman for hire in these early phases of the zone.
