The man had a hard time composing himself in the moment, it was his worst nightmare realized. EMS on scene, an active shooter, and explosions. He had promised Bell never to allow any EMS personnel in harm's way. Not after what happened that faithful night. The man on scene seemed off, aloof - like he wasn't really there. Even throwing up on seeing the first DB. Was it just an act all along? His detective skills with Torrez didn't skip a beat, he was almost too calm after. After ensuring the promise was kept.
