With our first little sneak peek I will be diving onto the UI work that has been performed to better increase immersion, detail, and other things. I won't go onto a gigantic spiel but rather just show you the changes.
Main Menu
There are a few buttons on this screen that'll make traversing the start rather easy.
It does play a Stalker Soundtrack piece, that being Zone Dreams.
New Arrival - This button is the only way to access the Intro sequence of the server. It'll be a quick primer that you can entirely skip too. As you can see Create Character is seen on the F2 (Char Select) screen that'll allow you to immediately skip Intro and go onto the Species Select. No more consistently seeing the intro and having to endure.
Server Content - This specific button supplies everything that you may need. Forums, Discord, and the Server content can all be found here. A quick and easy way to get everything you need all in one place, of course the latter of that selection can be found on the Settings panel too.
Character Select - Simple and straightforward. Opens your character selection screen.
rp_highlight
I have added a new set of commands that'll aid in roleplay so you can properly follow things/people.
rp_highlight ends up highlighting the word of choice. In my case I wanted to highlight the word 'Test', which as you can see informs me that I did such a thing and then continuously shows it with every message. It will continue to be highlighted until you do rp_highlight_clear in which it clears the list entirely.
rp_highlight_list just shows the total list of what you have highlighted within the console.
Simple and helpful...Hopefully.
Chatbox changes
The chatbox can now be dragged wherever on your screen and be sent back to default with the 'Default' button near the button to close it all. This allows for some personal changes on the players end to make sure everything functions how they wish.
Ontop of this I have changed the entire tags and their notices. I have changed it to a dropdown box that'll update with a nice overlay of red when displayed to not show. Simple changes that I feel make the Chatbox way better to interact with.
And this is only some of the changes I have done...I got alot more which really don't warrant their own sneak peek stuff, but these specifically I feel like are the most important things I can possibly show off.
Sneak peek number two. This one will focus upon personal efforts and designs that will contribute to making you stick out amongst the Stalkers within the zone. We feel as if it'll give a personal feel to all the characters and make them distinguishable from others...Even when in the later stages of the server.
It also includes general upgrades on textures of ancient Stalker stuff. I won't talk much but I rather just show you what we're up to instead.
I will also be showcasing the weather system I've been working on here too, as its rather close to completion.
Texture Improvements
In these photos displays our Sunrise suit. Some of you may recognize this model and where it came from, that being some of Taco N' Banana's older Stalker projects which involved extensive female variants of stalker models along with in depth edits to make them less chunky.
Above is what it looked like before. Dating likely back to the 2014~ era of roleplay. Below is now, chopped up to fit our needs and given an impressive texture improvement (courtesy of @LegitPotato ) that leaves the model looking practically brand new while retaining a very nostalgic feeling of the older games.
The armor that will be getting these done is the
- Sunrise
- Loner Jacket
- SEVA
- Merc Armor
- Clear Sky armor (Wont be classified as such icly)
- Eco suits
And others if we come across ones we desire.
These new improvements we feel will only fuel the updated effort our team is trying to perform to ensure this variant of Stalker stands tall amongst the others.

Head Model Improvements
Here is an example that's more stark than others.
models/tnb/heads/trp/female_12.mdl
This head uses the Chell hair from the Portal games. Once locked onto Chell's iconic brown hair, as seen in the bottom photo, now has two additional hair colors. Black and a red tint.
With the addition of these two new colors it can give you some open possibilities that will allow for you to truly make your character. We plan to make sure that nearly EVERY head has varying hair colors like this. Similar to what is shown and even other colors such as blonde and white.
These changes, albeit small, do add a lot to how you can convey your character on the server. The same as above I will be showing off more of the work (performed by @Smarmy ) so that you all can admire the model work that is being performed upon these iconic models.
Weather System
So what is this?
This Weather system, inspired fully by the likes of Stormfox and GWeather, allows admins to edit weather and its behavior on the fly, along with being able to input custom skybox via a text box.
As it stands, albeit basic, it allows for full control over the zone and whatever we wish to do within it.
Rain
Light, Medium, Heavy, and Storm
Snow
Light, Medium, Heavy, Blizzard
Fog
Light, Medium, Thick
Emissions
And it also allows for the admins to control a time. The skybox will change based off the time of day, with a continuously running clock that will change between Dawn, Day, Sunset, and night. Day and Night able to be seen in the top photo on the left.
Rain (Medium) and Snow (Light) can also be seen on the left along with clear and fog (Thick).
All of these options will lead to a clear experience that can dictate if you wish to push out of a safe area and take on the pitch black night or to stay with your friends and wait for dawn. I will be attempting to add a clock to the PDA too so the players can track this and plan their adventures accordingly.
