Briefing on OVERGROWTH-CE #555
Prepared following the Knight Commission investigation into the loss of City ██

INTRODUCTION:
If you are reading this briefing, you are at risk of being exposed to OVERGROWTH-CE #555, an extra-dimensional fungal entity, codename 'Oneiros'. Exposure to this entity puts you at extreme psychological, physiological, ████████████, and psionic risk. You under-estimate the abilities of the entity at your own peril, as it's ability to █████████ and ███████ the functions of other beings including █████████████, humans, synthetic organisms, ██████████, and others creates an extreme danger.
It is unknown if information is shared between colonies of the entity, but similar personalities have been observed in the few instances of the fungal entity advancing to the ████████████ stage. It is believed that descendant colonies of the entity do share some information, and perhaps even ███████████. Destruction of the City ██ supercolony was believed to be extermination of the entity for some time, however, this proved to be premature.
The entity appears to be capable of advanced planning and thought, and in ████████ colonies, even of cultivating other lifeforms, both native to Xen and Earth to live within it's inhabited area. In at least one instance, humans living in close proximity were observed to ███████ and even protect the entity in exchange for promises made by the entity. In at least one incident, this behavior extended up to the level of the City Premier. As a result, persons operating within an area that an instance of OVERGROWTH-CE #555 is present should remain vigilant of actions which are counter to the continued charter of the Universal Union.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
-All personnel who interact with any colony of OVERGROWTH-CE #555, at any stage of it's life, should be equipped with protective equipment which covers the respiratory system, ocular organs, and any other cavities of the body.
-All personnel should be equipped with or have in their presence ███████ ██████████████ materials or devices if available.
-Any personnel who have previous exposure, or possible Stage 0 infections are to be immediately detained for medical treatment.
TREATMENT:
-Individuals with active Stage 0 infections should be administered Anti-fungals of at least class C strength, and monitored for future active symptoms.
-Individuals with active Stage 1 infections should be administered Anti-fungals of at least class B strength, and monitored until bloodwork and spinal biopsy confirms no live spores remain in the nervous system of the individual.
-Individuals with active Stage 2 infections should be administered Anti-fungals of at least class A strength, and a fever of at least 40°C degrees should be induced for at least one to two hours regularly over the course of 48-72 hours.
-Individuals with active Stage 3 infections are to be cremated at temperatures of at least 1000°C.
-Instances which reach Stage 4 are to be treated with Xenicide, Antifungal variants if possible, and the remaining biomass incinerated at temperatures of at least 1000°C.
SYMPTOMS AND STAGES:
Individuals may suffer some, but not all symptoms, a OCE#555 test kit should be used to confirm infection. Stages may progress over the course of months, or within hours. No study has yet been able to be conducted to determine the factors that cause infections to enter an active stage in which the infection progresses.
Stage 0:
-Dryness of the eyes
-Occasional cough
-May experience sharp pains in nerve endings, which grow more common as the infection becomes active and progresses
-May experience increased effects of psionic activity from the entity, and from other possible entities. This often manifests in traumas directly related to the infected individuals past, should the fungal entity have sufficient proliferation, but may instead be generalized to the typical anxieties of human subjects
-Generalized anxiety
-Urge to take any action needed to protect loved ones, deceased or otherwise
Stage 1:
-Persistent cough
-Hallucinations
-Inability to separate reality from hallucinatory sensations
-Headaches
-Fever
-Involuntary actions
-Fugue states
-Amnesia
-Increased susceptibility to suggestion
-Weakened psionic defenses
-Increased intensity of any tormenting hallucinatory sensations
Stage 2:
-Expulsion of biomass materials

DESTRUCTION OF OVERGROWTH-CE #555:
Large quantities of Xenicide have proven effective, along with intense heat and flames. Other methods of destruction, treatment, and specific anti-fungals are beyond the scope of this briefing. Individuals seeking this information, or with reason to believe an entity is present should contact the United Nations Bureau of Statistical Anomalies.
