A small workshift is held by the RPF in Worksite Fourteen to recover bodies from a collapsed section of the mine. The bodies of two units are retrieved from the rubble, as well as several workers. It appears most were trapped inside and left to starve, battling antlions and the cold. Some of the bodies were only a week old, indicating they may had been alive for a while before recovery efforts were made.

The revolt. SiC 704 is executed in a public display for the citizenry and units as a final warning by the commander, 62665. Shortly after, the commander is struck and injured by a sniper while the RPF open fire on his OTA guard. The commander flees via helicopter, and the camp is bombed excessively by choppers and gunships, declared as 'expunged'.

The citizen workers and RPF escape together with the aid of an outside rebel, fleeing the air raid to the mines. They're stuck together now, with the entire RPF of the worksite being
declared as rogue. Armed with whatever they could escape with or steal prior and out of any supplies, the future looks uncertain.

An outside group of established resistance arrived offering help for the mines to give guns, ammo, food, and water. The outside group recruited the previous inhabitants of worksite 14 to help sabotage a rail line headed to Moscow. This rail line will be delivering vital goods to curb an upcoming rebellion.

The revving of an engine is heard topside as those above witness a stranger kicking up the desert sand in their vehicle, heading straight for the camp. The man clambered out from the bed of the dune buggy as the vehicle reached the gate, the engine purring idly as he raised his hands to show he meant no harm. He revealed he is there to barter and do trade, and is invited past the bunker doors. The man peddles his goods, and appears to have a rather crass attitude. Were the prices fair? Who's to say, all they knew is that they needed the basics and some odd ends. Where did he come from, how did he know? It was briefly and vaguely revealed to some members of the camp he was there as a liaisons for "his people."

It would appear the group has drawn the attention of peering eyes elsewhere beyond just the combine and their recently newfound friends. He did not appear to be affiliated with anyone within the camp's circle. As they bartered with the group he was inquired on a map to help guide the wayward and recently freed prisoners out from the scorching sun, and prevent them from joining the granules of sands of time in the harsh desert. A deal was struck, and the strange man revealed to be Firouz told them that his people valued any combine technology the group could get their hands on.

There was just one problem...where would be the best place to find combine technology in the sea of sand surrounding the area? Ironic, exactly the place these free men and woman sought to rid themselves of. It would be poetic in a way to tear down the forcefields that once kept them in, and pilfer the terminals that once held their entire lives hostage in data files.

The group barely managed to escape from Worksite 14, their so-called victory over OTF Commander 626 feeling hollow in the face of the losses they suffered. Wounded, exhausted, and desperate for shelter, they found refuge in a small town on the outskirts of the wasteland. But safety was an illusion. It wasn’t long before they started finding strange, unsettling notes scattered throughout their camp—scraps of paper carrying veiled threats and cryptic warnings. Whoever left them was watching. And so, a name was given: The Watcher.

Tensions only escalated when the group launched an assault on a nearby APC outpost. The Combine installation was wiped out, but in doing so, they provoked the Watcher’s ire. The threats became more pointed, the notes more erratic. He wasn’t just watching anymore—he was furious.

It was by sheer accident that they uncovered his bunker, a hidden lair buried beneath the wasteland. But the discovery was a trap. Before they could react, the heavy doors slammed shut behind them. They were prisoners, caught in his web. Over the crackling intercom, his voice filled the space, laced with anger and something more—disappointment. "You’ve ruined the balance," he told them. "I should gas you all right now." The hiss of unseen vents sent a shiver through the room, but then he made them an offer. If they wanted to live, they’d have to make amends. A task: infiltrate a local military base and retrieve supplies for him.

With little choice, the group carried out his demand. It was a tense exchange, but for the moment, it seemed to pacify The Watcher. He provided them with much-needed supplies in return and even extended an unexpected olive branch. There was a Xenian infestation growing in the town, and he was willing to help—offering his own anti-fungal sprays to burn it out. Maybe, just maybe, he wasn’t the worst enemy they had.

That illusion shattered when part of the group made a reckless decision. In a bid to break the fortified wall surrounding the town, they set the entire settlement ablaze. The fire roared through the streets, consuming everything, and The Watcher snapped. His fury was absolute. As retribution, he destroyed the group’s only water source, blowing up the water tower and leaving them with nothing but the slow promise of death by thirst.

But something has changed. Beneath all the threats, all the destruction, a clandestine meeting has taken place. Some among them have spoken to The Watcher, a conversation held in secret. A deal has been made—but what it entails and how it will shape what happens next remains to be seen.
The group has taken it upon themselves to secure the destruction of the local data storage facility and near death experience fleeing from OTF forces.
Only one target remains.

CASTLE 626:

The Castle is the only point left standing in this region worth any value. The fight will be difficult and sure to spell disaster if not done with precision. How the group will handle this fight is still to be decided as three main paths lie before them.

Do they do it alone without outside support and risk everything they own?
Do they side with Shah and his shady connections and dirty their hands?
Or do they use the schizophrenic Watcher and take advantage of what he offers?
