Our planet has lost so much, lands once governed by the grace of God have been perverted and twisted. Countless species have been driven to complete extinction and replaced with foreign organisms that have no place here. The external organisms are opportunists that look only to terraform what is left of this brittle and emaciated rock floating through space-time. Even the obliteration of a simple prey animal can offset the holy balance designed at the atomic level to co-exist and have their place in their land. A domino effect, species fall one after another. Humanity, the apex predator made in His image faces complete extinction. We are beyond the fine line of an endangered species, we have not even the means to reproduce. We - ...we're the last. We stand at a crossroads, it is up to what is left of us to fix this mess. There is no other option, it is do or die.

The Ether collective is a resistance cell whom have much similar interests as others, they all seek to rid the Earth of the Combine. Ether looks to conserve what is left of the fragile ecosystem of this planet, and work to revert the damages done to the best of their abilities. If we win this war -...we are still left with this planet. Ether was formed by the minds of botanists, marine and wildlife biologists, ecologists, forest rangers, and more recently defunct infestation control members. A think tank at the top, but do not think for a moment these egg heads are pushovers when it comes to combat. While it is true that the scientists spend much of their time in the laboratory and are not the most apt when it comes to fighting, their cell does employ a fighting force on the front. A mixture of defunct Protection units and Infestation Control members, or the odd off ragtag fighter with a cause.

We will reclaim what is rightfully ours, we will be the Noah to these lands - preserving what we can on our arc. We were born perfect, millions of years spent forming the perfect organisms to live in balance on Earth - it will not be perverted by these twisted outsiders. The traitors - transhuman sympathizers; you will be tried for your crimes against humanity.
