Half-Life 2: MoF Quotes Thread

Maddison '303' Whitney: Speaking of... I'm going to steal some armbands off dead cops soon. '80808' may have flown this time, but I need to figure out something else.
Dr. Hae Kong: So morbid.
Jake Baquera: It's about survival, Doc.
** Dr. Hae Kong grasped a chair from the corner.
Jake Baquera: Gotta' get the element of surprise on these vatos.
Dr. Hae Kong: Anyways.
Lucas Leavitt: Well, we'll have to figure out *something.* I don't know if we gotta look closer at Brooklyn, or try and hunt one of those freaks down and dissect it, or what.
Dr. Hae Kong: Please give the patient some space, he has to be evaluated.
Lucas Leavitt: Uh-- evaluated?
Dr. Hae Kong: Psychological evaluation, it's normal after a traumatic experience.
Dr. Hae Kong: So!
** Dr. Hae Kong crossed her legs, clicking her pen and pulling out her clipboard. "Name."
Jake Baquera: You're kicking us out?
** Maddison '303' Whitney watched for a moment at that... She then started heading for the exit, before saying "Hey! Doc, if you wanna get the truth out of him embarrassment works real well!"
** Jake Baquera trails her.
Lucas Leavitt: Uh-- L-- uh, Lucas--
Dr. Hae Kong: Full. Name.
Lucas Leavitt: Oh, come on, Maddie, that's a low blow.
Lucas Leavitt: I'm in poor shape! How're you gonna kick a man when he's down!
** Lucas Leavitt turns to Demi. "Don't leave me with this lady. She's gonna start trepanning me or something."
** Dr. Hae Kong sighed, rolling her eyes.
Dr. Hae Kong: Anti-Intellectualism is a sign of repressed trauma, you know.
Lucas Leavitt: Repressed Trauma-- oh, come on. That is a load of BULL, Hae--
Dr. Hae Kong: [YELL] DOCTOR.
** Lucas Leavitt flinches. **
Lucas Leavitt: [WHISPER] uh... d-doctor...
** Dr. Hae Kong sharply inhaled, twitching her eye. Before straightening herself out with a toothy grin.
Dr. Hae Kong: Full name.
Dr. Hae Kong: Please.
Lucas Leavitt: Lucas Leavitt. Uh, no middle name.
Dr. Hae Kong: Mrm...
** Dr. Hae Kong scribbled down.
Dr. Hae Kong: So Lucas would you consider yourself... repressed, traumatized, troubled?
** Lucas Leavitt uncomfortably adjusts himself to keep a closer eye on the doctor. **
Lucas Leavitt: Um... troubled, maybe. I mean, I guess I've seen a lot of people dying lately. A lot of people I cared about.
Lucas Leavitt: Uh, listen, h-- um, Doctor, I don't know how this is relevant to my injuries.
Dr. Hae Kong: When did you realize you hated your father?
** Dr. Hae Kong gave an invested look.
Lucas Leavitt: My *WHAT?* Uh, I never knew my father. I had two moms.
** Dr. Hae Kong grimaced, sucking in air through her teeth. "Wooph." She scribbled down, before standing up. "Alright that's all I needed."
Lucas Leavitt: Uh, what do you *MEAN* that's all you needed?
Dr. Hae Kong: Oh don't worry about it.
** Dr. Hae Kong grinned, stepping out.
Dr. Hae Kong: You're free to visit again.
Maddison '303' Whitney: You find out what you wanted to know?
Dr. Hae Kong: Mhm. Mommy issues.

** Dr. Hae Kong blinked
Maddison '303' Whitney: You did this same shit when I called them 'anti-fags' instead of 'anti-fati's
Maddison '303' Whitney: How do you even shorten anti-fatigue? Fuck it- I'll just call them 'stims'.
Lucas Leavitt: okay, my eyes were closed there. my bad. but that one's still bad.
Lucas Leavitt: I prefer stims yeah.
(Chinese) Dr. Hae Kong: Junkies.
** Dr. Hae Kong scoffed
Lucas Leavitt: uh-- in my defense, doc--
** Lucas Leavitt turns to stare at Doctor Hae Kong with full understanding. **
** Maddison '303' Whitney looked to Kong, then to Lucas, before saying "Translation."
Lucas Leavitt: *she's* the junkie.
Lucas Leavitt: I usually stay out of that stuff.
** Dr. Hae Kong blinked with abject HORROR on her face. She was mortified by the idea of someone speaking her language.
Maddison '303' Whitney: Oh- did you... Did you not know?
(Chinese) Lucas Leavitt: Yeah. Gotcha bitch.
** Lucas Leavitt grins mischievously. **
(Chinese) Dr. Hae Kong: One more word.
** Dr. Hae Kong twitched her eye
Maddison '303' Whitney: Yo también puedo hablar otro idioma putas
** Lucas Leavitt pauses for exactly one beat. **

Kairos Agon: Lucas?
** Kairos slowly strolls in. **
** Lucas Leavitt looks up from the floor, blinking the tears away. "K-- Kairos? Is this... is this it?"
** Kairos Agon tilts her head to the side, "What do you mean?" She walks closer, offering a hand down, "Come on, we must continue - Brooklyn awaits."
Lucas Leavitt: Brooklyn--
Lucas Leavitt: No... no-- she's-- she's *alive.*
** Karol slowly peeks his head within... **
** Lucas Leavitt's eyes slowly trail up Kairos's vest until he searches her face. **
** Kairos Agon stares back at him, her presence felt, she deeply exhales, kneeling, "Fate does not offer patience, Luke."
** Karol Norin-Rudstrom braced himself against the door and quietly made his entrance. His face is pale, bloodless - though his jacket, shredded, the burns from the Pulse having long-since subsided and the shredded mass of cloth and blood concealing the worst of his injury. His voice cuts through the fog.
** An Icon of Will. **
Karol Norin-Rudstrom: .. You don't need to remain here.
** Kairos Agon turns her head to Karol with a smile, "Indeed. We have done great work. We have made them proud, no?"
** Karol Norin-Rudstrom turned his gaze from Kairos and over to Lucas, he raises a hand. It's.. strange to say, certainly the Pope within Rome would not agree, but the angle of the light and how it plays upon his pale features. Upon his hair. It was almost as though his presence as an Icon of Will, almost canonized his appearance. He seemed almost to stand impossibly tall, and this dim, he delivers unto Lucas a commandment.
Karol Norin-Rudstrom: Lucas. We do not suffer, despite it's best efforts - dishonour's breath does not stain our names.
Karol Norin-Rudstrom: You must listen-
Karol Norin-Rudstrom: -those above require you more than us, and by this point it is not too late. You must continue to bring them toward that place, you know the one, and deliver upon the impossible task you have been given.
Karol Norin-Rudstrom: Certainly, the outcome may be pre-destined. And there is no telling what will remain for you to go to, once the smoke clears, but know this.
Karol Norin-Rudstrom: Perhaps it does not matter how it Ends. But.. perhaps how one *reaches* that End, is that which he covet the most.
Karol Norin-Rudstrom: You understand this, I would hope?
** Lucas Leavitt blinks away the tears. It's the hardest thing to stand, and to step away from Kairos, but somehow... somehow he manages. "I-- I understand."
** Kairos Agon slowly stands as well, looking at him, with a smile, "Brother," she lowers her hands by her side, "Look at me."
** Lucas Leavitt looks. His jaw trembles. Tears run free once more. It takes every last ounce of willpower not to tell her how sorry he is.
** Kairos Agon raises her goggles to her face, smirking, "Not one bark for me? It's alright - I suppose I can owe you this at least," she extends her arms out and surrounds his torso with them, tucking in tight, her warmth and comfort could be felt for what was a fleeting moment, as her form slowly disintegrates into dust, floating peacefully throughout the ships interior room.
** Lucas Leavitt laughs and cries all at once, clutching her like his life depended on it. **
Lucas Leavitt: Thank you. Thank you for-- for everything--
** Before his eyes she disappears, her remnants of particles slowly disappearing into the air around them. **
** Lucas Leavitt looks down at his hands, then up to Karol.
** Karol Norin-Rudstrom shifted down from the door frame. As he approached Lucas, wafting through the dust of what once was - the uncanonized Saint's wounds seem to regress. To mend. To heal. To Forgive and Forget. In his path, ice, and snow as this facsimile of reality - this place of torture melts away. As he reaches Lucas, he merely extends a hand. Not to pat the man on the shoulder as though he were a child, but to extend grace as though Lucas were an equal.
Karol Norin-Rudstrom: Come with me. I will see you out.
** Lucas Leavitt takes Karol's hand with a smile. "You always did know where we were going, didn't you?"
** For once: Truth.
Karol Norin-Rudstrom: .. Not at all. The Math was never exact.
Karol Norin-Rudstrom: I merely staked it on Faith, and Will.
** Karol Norin-Rudstrom looked upwards toward the ceiling as the facsimile continued to melt and wrest itself from the mind of Lucas, and with it, Karol shakes Lucas' hand - as he quietly joins the ever-growing cold. It wasn't unpleasant, not daunting. It felt as though.. Lucas were to feel the first of fresh snowfall, upon his skin.
** Fresh snowfall. Fresh air. Lucas Leavitt closes his eyes and breathes.
** By the time his eyes open, Karol has faded into The Longing.
Lucas Leavitt: [WHISPER] ...faith and will...

** 'Hello...Schrhahaqqqqzzzzz' The voice faded rapidly in and out. **

Brooklyn McGowan: Errr--

** Brooklyn McGowan slows her roll. She tries to dial it back to the correct frequency. **

** She dialed it back, and instead of a conversation another pre-recorded message was sent. 'City 42, now known as Tehran...Has collapsed. A failed coup resulted in total death to the Combine forces within the city...We are free, brothers and sisters, and we will all join you together in a new world free from the parasites. Inshallah.' The accented voice went away, and the group are left to digest this information, only for a few more words to slip in. An elderly man speaks. **

Lucas Leavitt: What?
Lucas Leavitt: Oh, shit.

** CMC.INFCON.i3.18125 cannot help but get a sinking feeling from that despite his current predicament.
** Dr. Thekla Gisela Schwarzkopf's attention was dragged to the console.

** 'City 17 reporting! We are cutting this transmission due to the week straight talking! Men are needed within the Northern region...City 98 is on the brink! We are requesting urgent assistance so that we can continue our /important/ work here in City 17...We wish you all luck!' **

Dr. Thekla Gisela Schwarzkopf: They claim 42 has fallen?
Dr. Thekla Gisela Schwarzkopf: How interesting.
Dr. Thekla Gisela Schwarzkopf: If that is true then the Union just lost a major synthetic hub.

Lucas Leavitt: Yep. And our friends in 98 sound like they're still in business.

Dr. Thekla Gisela Schwarzkopf: Best to listen with a hint of... doubt.

CMC.INFCON.i3.18125: It's a strange feeling.

CMC.INFCON.i3.18125: I am not quite sure how to describe it.
Brooklyn McGowan: Doesn't feel...Real.

Maddison '303' Whitney just stood there for a moment... "So... You have eyes?"

Arthur Evans says ''This ain't fixin' shit man besides yer fuckin' ego.''
Arthur Evans says ''It. Ain't. Worth it.''

Lucas Leavitt glares at Arthur, but then his head snaps to the side like he heard something. He shakes his head.
Lucas Leavitt says ''She's a *threat.*''
Lucas Leavitt says ''I'm *handling* it.''

Maddison '303' Whitney says ''This is retarded. You're not handling it, you're on some ego-suicidal rush. Men are so into this sort of shit. But you know what?''
Arthur Evans says ''Naw, man. She ain't a threat, that's what she wants you to think. We're fuckin' leavin' soon.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''It's not my fucking problem.''
Lucas Leavitt says ''We are.''
Lucas Leavitt says ''Real soon.''

Arthur Evans says ''Then come on then, man.''
Lucas Leavitt's tone is flat. "I'll meet you back at the inn."
Arthur Evans shifts his jaw from side to side, "We're either goin' back together or not at all."
Arthur Evans says ''I ain't walkin' off again.''

Lucas Leavitt says ''Arthur. I said I'm FINE.''
Arthur Evans says ''Tired of walkin' away.''
Lucas Leavitt says ''I-- I HAVE to DO THIS.''
Arthur Evans says ''You don't.''
Lucas Leavitt's voice is harsh, but he can see tears running from beneath Lucas's aviators. "I DO. I HAVE TO."
Arthur Evans stands, deeply exhaling, "It ain't gonna bring her back."
Lucas Leavitt says ''NOTHING will. Because *I KILLED her.*''
Lucas Leavitt says ''But I'll be damned if I let that BITCH say it to my face.''

Arthur Evans says ''That's bullshit, you know it. There ain't nothin' different that ya coulda done there to save her.''
Arthur Evans says ''Fuckin' thing swallowed those HORIZON agents like a snack.''

Lucas Leavitt says ''I can DO THIS. PLEASE.''
Arthur Evans deeply exhales, biting his lower lip, "Naw man. They need you just as you need them."
Lucas Leavitt yells ''ARTHUR, PLEASE.''
Lucas Leavitt stomps his foot frustratedly.

Arthur Evans says ''Lucas, ya got three seconds man.''

[202 MHz] Lucas Leavitt says ''DON'T YOU FUCKING LEAVE.''

Arthur Evans says ''You can fix this by headin' back with me.''
Arthur Evans slowly lowers his rifle.

Lucas Leavitt's shoulders drop in defeat. He exhales slowly. "Okay. Okay..." he starts walking towards Arthur.
Arthur Evans eyes him cautiously, "She's fuckin' left anyways. Ain't no point in us gettin' spotted by a goddam Hunter or somethin'." He backs up slightly and tips his head towards the sewer entrance, "Let's get outta here, man."
Lucas Leavitt hesitates. But then he hears HER voice in his ear. "Little Coward," she whispers to him. He abruptly attempts to snatch the gun out of Arthur's grasp.
Arthur Evans blinks a few times, attempting to shove Lucas away with the heavy rifle.
Lucas Leavitt firmly plants his boot into Arthur's gut and pushes HARD, while pulling with both hands on the gun.
The rifle's sling slips over Arthur's head as Lucas pulls, using his entire body for leverage, "FUCK YOU DOIN'-?" He would lean forward in an attempt to get on top of Lucas.
Lucas Leavitt thrashes wildly with pure desperation, and brings the gun up and bashes Arthur on the chin with it.
Arthur Evans is bashed on the chin, stumbling backwards onto a knee, planting his hands on the ground, looking up at Lucas and shaking his head in disappointment, "Fuckin' go on, man. If this is what yer fuckin' /fix/ looks like, then keep goin'."
Lucas Leavitt stumbles backwards, holding the OICW still. His glasses were knocked further down his nose during the struggle, and Arthur can see his eyes are wide with a crazed, scared look. He looks down at the gun, and then abruptly throws it over the rock wall and BOLTS.
Arthur Evans just watches, his only movement being the shaking his head and yelling out, "FIX IT, THEN."
[202 MHz] Arthur Evans says ''Lucas is goin' to meet her, I fuckin' tried but he smashed me in the goddam jaw.''

[202 MHz] Lucas Leavitt says ''<wind rushes past the microphone. Lucas is clearly running, but his voice is still audible.> I'm sorry. I'm so fucking sorry, Arthur.''

Lucas Leavitt stomps his foot frustratedly.
(Russian) Lucas Leavitt yells out ''STOP TALKING!''
(Russian) Demitra Kuryakin whispers ''Why? Because I'm right? Because you're a little coward?''

Maddison '303' Whitney says ''It's not.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''It's never been fair.''

Arthur Evans says ''Life ain't fair, but blamin' yourself for somethin' like that goes beyond.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''I got us here. We found Sam, we got the vorts here. I don't think I've got any more fucking objectives left.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''I didn't even /choose/ to come out of the fucking camp like that.''

Arthur Evans says ''Ya have one right in front of ya.''
Arthur Evans says ''We need to defend that place.''

Maddison '303' Whitney says ''This place?''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''No.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''It's not fucking worth it.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''It's not been worth it-''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''None of these places have been.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''And if we try to defend this place?''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''We're all going to fucking die.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''So I'm making the only choice that makes any goddamn sense here.''

Arthur Evans says ''So, we all fuckin' die, then what? What's it matter if we got no objectives left anyways?''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''Because fuck dying for some random fucking greenskin asshole who just declares we /must/ defend this place.''
Arthur Evans sighs, "Look, I ain't even into the spiritual shit like that, but it's clear that thing fuckin' knows more about an objective for us than we do."
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''They fucking used us.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''That's what it is.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''That's what it's always been.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''We got fucking used for a free ride, the token rebel group who always does 'such a good job' and who ' is so good at this'.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''But we don't get supplies.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''We dont get money to buy supplies with.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''We're a token, and this is where they're spending us.''

Arthur Evans says ''We all fuckin' use eachother. We're all selfish deep down. Next time I see Sable I'll give 'er an ultimatum. Give us what we want or we're not goin' to Moscow, we're fuckin' off to somewhere else and hiding.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''We can't even /do/ that as a group.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''Hell, wandering off alone I'm probably just going to get picked off the moment I'm away from everywhere.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''How many people here are /even from the fucking workcamp/.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''I'll answer it for you: Not fucking many.''

Arthur Evans says ''Sounds to me like a general frustration with fuckin' everything, Maddie. I fuckin' get it, man, but this - I don't think it's the way.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''So instead I should put on a brave face with everyone else and die in the fucking hole.''
Arthur Evans says ''I wish I could fuckin' tell you everything would be fine, but you're much fuckin' smarter and more worthy than me doin' that and it would be a blatant fuckin' lie, to both you and myself.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''Yeah. Which is why I'm doing lying about sticking around- about our chances, about any of it.''
Arthur Evans says ''Don't. It ain't like everytime I wake up in the mornin' I'm tellin' myself or anyone else it's gonna be a great fuckin' day, because it prolly fuckin' isn't.''
Arthur Evans says ''I just got the people I care about and that's- That's fuckin' it.''

Maddison '303' Whitney shook her head a bit, it's hard to get a read on her face with the mask on, not that she's good with expressions even without it.
Arthur Evans deeply exhales, clearly worked up for once, he walks over to the wall, sliding down it into a sitting position, "I know ya ain't a good person, Maddie. I ain't neither. I try to be, but only so much can be done to cover up the past."
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''Do you think this is... A guilt thing or something? No- it's me looking at this shit more objectively than I think anyone here ever has.''
Arthur Evans deeply puffs out air, rubbing a hand through his hair, "Not for you, no, moreso for myself. I won't claim to know you more than ya know yourself."
Maddison '303' Whitney shook her head at that, getting up on the sidewalk at the very least, saying "It's just over. I don't know what else to day. That thing basically just said it first, but wanted us to die for it so that it can feel real good about itself or it's species or nudge some future even it's not telling us about."
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''If this 'Freeman' of theirs is such a fucking savior that he's going to fix it all and win the whole fucking thing that what even is the point of us being here?''

Arthur Evans shrugs, shaking his own head, "Wish I could tell ya. I'on blame ya if you want to leave. Only reason I'm tryin' to stop ya is selfishness."
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''Why?''
Arthur Evans turns his head, looking at her, "Why what?"
Maddison '303' Whitney stopped for a moment, before taking off her mask- she doesn't look emotional, as dead-faced as ever instead "Why fucking bother? I'm not- What reason do you even have to try and keep me here? Keep me around? There's nothing."
Arthur Evans shrugs, looking down at his hands and twiddling his thumbs a bit, "Like I said earlier, got people I care 'bout. Can't explain it for ya why just like I can't tell ya what that greenfreak has in store for us neither."
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''Okay... Would it help if I told you I... Don't care?''
Maddison '303' Whitney seems almost more to be trying to... Game it out somehow, to somehow outsmart whatever emotional shit he's trying to get to her with...
(Maddison '303' Whitney) At least her face is screwed up like she's trying to outthink her way around it or something.

Arthur Evans chuckles deeply, continuing to stare at his thumbs, it's clear he's just being completely genuine right now, "Naw, it don't make a difference to me. Unless ya try to shoot me for no good reason or somethin', I'on see my feelin's changin' - What's stoppin' ya anyways? If yer plannin' on dippin'? Could just shoot me in the 'ead right now and it'd make no difference."
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''Yeah, but it might mean Nazi bitch actually tries to find me or whatever.''
Arthur Evans says ''Guess ya'd be out a bullet, too.''
Arthur Evans says ''I'mma let ya in on a lil secret I ain't never told no-one here. Ya can feel free to tell them if ya want, but now prolly ain't the best time. Y'all traveled to a town in the desert near the worksite after leavin'?"''

Maddison '303' Whitney says ''Fucking- I think- I guess?''
Arthur Evans rubs his beard with his hand, "Well..." He deeply exhales, pausing for a moment, "Firouz Shah, your photogenic buddy."
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''The one you humped until you both fell off the ramp or whatever?''
Arthur Evans scoffs, "Yeah, that fuckin' guy. He and I were closer linked than anyone here prolly knew."
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''Great.''
Maddison '303' Whitney doesn't seem to change her expression... At all.

Arthur Evans says ''Did some work for 'im. Wish I could say it went bad, but it was all 'ccordin' to the plan. Rounded up all the folks in a town into a single buildin'...''
Maddison '303' Whitney just stands there... For someone recieving his confession, she's not really... Doing a lot with it.
Arthur Evans takes a hand and turns it into a pistol, "Bang. Bang. Bang. One... After the other. Not sure if the screams or the gunshots were louder, honestly."
(Maddison '303' Whitney) The cop just... Stands there, menacingly. Really- what exactly is going on behind her eyes in the moment is at best unclear. "Okay... And?"
Arthur Evans says ''Don' really remember all that much, just started to fuckin'... Become rhythmic. That was until we heard some other shit come by and dipped. Think it was some monster that came and killed whatever was still alive after we left.''
Arthur Evans deeply sighs, lowering his hand back to his lap.

Maddison '303' Whitney says ''Dude- do you think I cared about the fucking slavery thing?''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''I was mad at him because he hit me in the gut and then shot at me.''

Arthur Evans says ''Naw, I'on know much 'bout ya. Just wanted to explain why I'm still goin' personally.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''It doesn't bring those people back.''
Arthur Evans finally stands, "It ain't meant to," he turns his backside towards Maddison, "It's meant to bring /me/ back," he begins to walk back to camp.
Maddison '303' Whitney just watched, if she had any parting words of inspiration... She didn't speak them.

Maddison '303' Whitney says ''I guess I'll see you guys... I don't know, never or something. Because this fucking concrete shitbox is not worth dying over.''
Maddison '303' Whitney turns off with that, checking her rifle momentarily.

Arthur Evans waits a moment, before following her.
Arthur Evans yells ''Maddie.''

Maddison '303' Whitney says ''What?''
Arthur Evans says ''I'm worried 'bout ya. Somethin' happen recently? Ya just seem not like yourself.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''Something- dude-''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''We got everything done. And it's meant fucking nothing.''

Arthur Evans says ''Then we ain't get /everything/ done.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''I didn't care about this shit to begin with, and I've had to be /the fucking girl/ doing everything.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''And what's our reward!?''

Arthur Evans deeply exhales, "I know ya ain't want to be a lea-"
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''That fucking pile of shit over there.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''We've got nothing.''

Arthur Evans says ''We've got eachother.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''No more bullets.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''No more bombs.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''No more bigger guns.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''And apparently we /dont/ have eachother.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''And- I'm sorry if I haven't made this abundantly clear: But I don't care about people.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''I /tried/ to do that and I killed four of us.''
Maddison '303' Whitney says ''So you know what.''

Maddison '303' Whitney says ''It doesn't bring those people back.''
Arthur Evans finally stands, "It ain't meant to," he turns his backside towards Maddison, "It's meant to bring /me/ back," he begins to walk back to camp.
