A lone car was ambushed on the road just outside the bunker the rebels made their home inside. The crash alerted some of the members who went to investigate.

They were too late.

A few fighters managed to see the creatures who orchestrated the attack flee, and a single creature was seen stalking them as they left.

We do not know what they are, we do not know how many they are. A Vortigaunt ally inside the bunker has only cryptic knowledge about them and if what they say is true the cell finds itself in a dangerous new world. The Vortigaunt claims they are larger, stronger and faster than themselves. They use bio-weapons and symbiotic parasites to kill. That is all they know.

Dr. Thekla, Cody, and Maddison went to investigate the crash at a later time and found evidence that the cars passengers were dragged out alive and taken elsewhere.

The Doctor advices extreme caution and to hide from these creatures at all costs.
