So, Maddison always has a version of this she tells, and I made allusions to a longer, more official report, so here it is. No, Maddison is not the good guy, not even in the version she tells, but I wanted to write something that dripped almost a corrosive sort of discomfort with how relatively bloodless and clinical it was about what was clearly some fairly emotionally charged events for some of the actors involved. Thus, there is no music. Enjoy.

For those of you curious how you can find this IC, it was included in the most recent intel collected from a raid, and will likely proliferate in some manner if you go looking for it.

INCIDENT REPORT 1-2-2021

AUTHORING UNITS: MPF-C12.LUNAR-EU.88795, MPF-C12.SOLAR-i4.15468, MPF-C12.SOLAR-i1.17788

ABSTRACT:
Report details events resulting in the deaths of MPF-C12.SOLAR-EU.98521, MPF-C12.SOLAR-i2.01312, recycling of MPF-C12.SOLAR.93281, demotion of MPF-C12.SOLAR-i2.43213 to i3. The result of these events lead to RAID.1-14-2021#13, RAID.1-15-2021#7, and the opening of investigations CS21183, CS21185, CS21199. Incident seems primarily instigated by MPF-C12.SOLAR-i2.30303, however, they have proven cooperative, and concrete evidence regarding their alleged wrongdoing is limited.

INCIDENT REPORT:
At approximately 2040 on 30-1-2021, unit MPF-C12.SOLAR-i2.30303 submitted a message to several other members of SOLAR, including MPF-C12.SOLAR-i2.01312. The content of this message included pornographic images of MPF-C12.SOLAR-EU.98521, and the contents of messages between SOLAR.30303 and SOLAR.98521, which appeared to be in relation to a surreptitious correspondence being carried out, and whilst SOLAR.98521 and SOLAR.01312 were engaged in a publicly known relationship.

Other SOLAR squadmates have testified that SOLAR.30303 and SOLAR.01312 had previously engaged in several minor feuds and disagreements. The contents of this message though appeared carefully crafted to inflict emotional trauma upon SOLAR.01312 in regards to their romantic relationship with SOLAR.98521. At approximately 2120, an off-duty SOLAR.01312 confronted SOLAR.30303 in the mess hall.

Despite attempts to portray what SOLAR.30303 had done as extra promiscuous, SOLAR.30303 appeared to respond in a manner that was both explicit and filled with verbal abuse. While some recording and testimonials to the exact exchange exists, it will be kept in the [INCIDENT REPORT 1-2-2021 EVIDENCE] file instead for brevity. SOLAR.01312 fled the scene in clear emotional distress, and SOLAR.30303 returned to standards.

SOLAR.01312 would be last seen on camera entering CCH-A#218 at 2148, returning to their apartment. They would be discovered in their bathroom with lacerations which reached the cephalic vein on both arms, seemingly self-inflicted, and a mostly empty bottle of aspirin. She was pronounced dead upon the arrival of medical personnel. A note found at the scene contained refrains that implicated SOLAR.30303 in multiple incidents which upset SOLAR.01312, and accusations of both unit privledge abuses, and ongoing drug abuse by SOLAR.30303. It also contained a detailed passage addressed to SOLAR.98521, which expressed a deep sense of betrayal. This paper was improperly handled, and passed into the possession of SOLAR.98521. MPF-C12.SOLAR-i2.43213, an acquaintance of SOLAR.98521 was found to have been the one to pass this evidence to SOLAR.98521, and was later demoted as punishment.

SOLAR.98521 would begin their shift shortly after receiving this document, despite clear indicators that they were not in a sound state of mind. They proceeded to break radio protocol several times addressing SOLAR.30303, before being verbally reprimanded. SOLAR.30303 and SOLAR.98521 then appeared to meet at some point around 0018 on 31-1-2021. SOLAR.98521 appeared significantly subdued at this point, and while a suspension of both units to investigate the incident would be appropriate at this point, no SOLAR field command elected to do so at this point, even at the suggestion of LUNAR colleagues.

At 1738 on 31-1-2021, SOLAR.98521, now off-duty, entered CCH-A#209, and returned to their apartment. At 1938, the CEC would note a power surge, and an outage to CCH-A#209, likely caused by a short tripping a breaker. Upon entering, they would note several distressed residents, and report the same to the MPF. MPF units who arrived on scene would enter apartment #3-2 and discover SOLAR.98521 following a failed suicide attempt with an electronic device and their bathtub. At some point while being extracted by MPF team and treated, SOLAR.98521 would refer to themselves as a 'stupid coward' for not utilizing a firearm for their attempt. A note was discovered, confirmed to be authored by SOLAR.98521 that placed similar blame for the incident upon SOLAR.30303, and seemed primarily focused on 'joining his spurned love in the afterlife'.

They were subsequently placed into an involuntary hold within the district 8 medical bay, where they would be assessed for recovery, or recycling. SOLAR.30303 returned to duty at their normal time on 1-2-2021, and would seem to act without clear distress over recent events. At some point, they were spotted moving towards the medical bay, but camera coverage failed to fully capture their movements within the building due to poor security design. At 1424 on 1-2-2021, a power anomaly was noted within the districts building, but did not trip any breakers due to the system being designed to withstand attack without shutting down.

Shortly after this anomaly, fire alarms within the medical bay triggered, and a fire response began. An electrical fire started within the medical bay, triggered by SOLAR.98521 seemingly completing a circuit using their own body, and a destroyed appliance wire. It is estimated he was subject to electrocution for several minutes, which eventually induced a fire. An autopsy was difficult to perform due to the extensive burns over much of SOLAR.98521's body.

At this point, MPF-C12.LUNAR-EU.88795 called for an investigation to begin immediately, and ordered the detainment of SOLAR.30303. Despite responding with invectives, SOLAR.30303 did present themselves to LUNAR.88795 for detainment. Several field command units then began to openly debate the precedential authority to do such a thing, but the matter was settled by MPF-C12.SqL-SOLAR.98978 demanding that the incident be contained and handled appropriately.

An interrogation of SOLAR.30303 at first appeared to put extreme suspicion on the circumstances of both suicides, but as the interrogation continued, it became clear that despite having acted as what could be considered a significant contributing factor, direct action was not possible to prove. When pressed regarding their drug use and avoidance of cameras within the nexus, they revealed that these actions had been taught to them by MPF-C12.SOLAR.93281, a unit they shared an apartment with. SOLAR.30303 then expanded on this possible sociocidal behavior by explaining that they had been conducting a personal investigation into SOLAR.93281, discovering that they had been manufacturing and dealing illicit substances.

When LUNAR units performed a surprise inspection of SOLAR.93281's residence while SOLAR.30303 was in custody, a firefight ensued, as several malignants were present and attempting to purchase from SOLAR.93281. SOLAR.93281 was declared rogue, and would be killed three days later in a separate raid. The evidence found in SOLAR.93281's apartment lead to the amputation of five malignants, one of which had a previous record of sociocidal actions. SOLAR.30303 professed to not knowing the exact behaviors and specifics of SOLAR.93281's drug trade, but was able to direct towards significant enough evidence to support the investigation.

This evidence still implicated SOLAR.30303 in possible malignant activities, or at least in having not reported these actions or their investigation to any persons. Due to their position as part of the MPF Union Broadcasting Team, they are unfortunately recognizable, and subjecting them to punishment which could be observed by members of the viewing public. Previous complaints and reports regarding this unit appear to indicate a pattern of behavior and negative effects on fellow units. Corrective action should be taken before any further escalation.

REPORT SUBMITTED TO MPF-C12.SqL-SOLAR.98978 ON 3-2-2021. REPORT FORWARDED TO ADMINISTRATOR HANA'S OFFICE ON 3-2-2021.
