What is this?
Long term developed server. Star Wars: Galactic Frontier, is the next server that will come after that of Stalker: New Blood.
This server will be developed over the course of months with continuous updates and community feedback that'll ensure it is exactly what the player base would desire on a server such as this.
This server is set within 8 BBY. Far before the events of A New Hope and 11 years after the events of Revenge of the Sith and the end of the clone wars. The server, by comparison, is occurring during the events of the Star Wars Jedi games, making it so that we are within the height of the Empire and its hold on the Galaxy...However that doesn't matter, as our server is set to tailor towards as many playstyles as we can potentially get into this!
What is the story?
The server takes place upon a desert planet called Golak within the Outer Rim. Underneath light Imperial control and home to the Six Claw Network, a notorious crime family known for its expansive work across this section of the Outer Rim. Primarily known for smuggling, trafficking, and security services that have brought itself to be the go to group to employ within Golak...Along with being the group to avoid wronging when striving for your own goals. Despite their willingness to offer assistance and support to the people of Golak they also hold a set of ruthless practices that leave anyone up and coming remaining beneath their boots.
The Six Claw Network is headed by three separate leaders. Twin Twi'Leks and an elderly Sakavian. The trio working so well that even the Empire finds themselves employing their services to avoid wasting resources on specific tasks or targets.
It is well known why the 6CN (Six Claw Network) are present upon Golak...However the goals for the Empire remain mysterious and shrouded. There is no active blockade, there is no most wanted person known to be on the planet itself, and there is no known open rebellion activity upon the planet either. A singular Star Destroyer sits in orbit to aid the people upon the ground and their efforts to maintain their outposts and patrols, beyond that Golak just seems like yet another planet that is subjected to the tight grip of the Empire's grasp.
When is this being launched?
Not until after Stalker: New Blood runs its course. During the entire tenure of Stalker we will be performing routine updates, sneak peeks, polls, and questionnaires to properly gauge it and add onto it all. This way Star Wars can be tailor made by the players for the players.
During the process of development and the prolonged wait we will be doing routine updates to both the script AND lore too. Tidbits of it all will be pushed out so people can become familiar with what we are crafting and go into the server with a firm grasp and a quick way to keep themselves up to date with it all.
What species can I play?
Many species will be playable on this server, with the list potentially expanding if we find something that is suitable for the server itself.
Below I compiled a small little list for you to all mull over and examine, ones that require an application process are given a * besides it.
What they look like!
Twi'Lek. A male Twi'Lek has not appeared (as far as we are aware) within a video game since the year of 2003. 23 years ago.This was obviously an issue that resulted in a hard fought search that came to discovering the low-poly and low resolution Twi'Lek model from the KOTOR game. It was what we had and what we had to work with. So we did. The colors that will come with these models will be - Green - Blue - Orange - Red - Pink They also will come with an assortment of eye colors to change and go through. - Blue - Hazel - Purple - Yellow - Orange The female wasn't so hard to sort. We will be giving these species specific and special headgroup items so that you can customize yourself even further! |
Can I play the Empire?
Yes. Yes you can.
We'll have spots for people to play Imperial Army characters. People stationed upon Golak itself. We will have both IC and OOC methods to get characters involved with the Empire, that be becoming apart of it or simply working with it. Obviously due to how the Empire functions strictly humans may be apart of the Imperial Army and its ranks within. Aliens cannot be apart of its ranks.
Much of this will be explained in its own thread along with an application format that'll be put down below when finished.
What will be the day to day for the Empire?
Anyone playing the Empire is going to experience a bit more laid back experience compared to that of previous iterations Civil Protection or NYPD/NOPD with the ZRP's. The Empire itself will still be oppressive, obviously, however it will also be interconnected into the day to day activities and be able to immerse themselves into the environment we have crafted as if they were any other faction.
We don't wish to isolate people simply because they chose to go a different path with their character. We made this mistake before and do not wish to repeat it. With the Empire you WILL get a unique perspective upon the events and happenings on the server however you will not be isolated from it all.
Can I create my own faction?
Yes! Just like Stalker.
Players are free to create their own groups and cliques to roam with. The same goes for chasing their own story pathways and finding a way to follow. We are going to stride for player agency and personal stories here just as we did with Stalker. We want every interaction to be unique and every group to have their own backstories and experiences together.
However despite this we do push for applications to be made if its something that requires extensive setup or a unique origin/skillset.
What is my place in this setting?
To put it bluntly? Inhabitants of Golak.
You are going to be experiencing the day to day of Uji'Tabela, the largest city upon Golak.
Stuck between the 6CN, Empire, and whatever groups wander onto this desert planet and its barren landscape...How you got here is truly up to you. Work? Running? HIDING? Perhaps you were put on a post here. Truly it is up to you to decide how to get here...And why you're staying here also.
The RP aspect of this server will be comparable to that of ZRP Pre-Outbreak and HL2 City RP. Its entirely meant to function on its own and work through itself. Set by the players, pushed by the players. Your story is to be crafted by yourself, while admins will be providing aid in making things happen and giving specific events that the playerbase can react to/interact with.
Can I play a force user?
No.
