Survivor Bulletin Board

Second this action. Need to figure out a way to disable the jammer, or whatever it is that they're doing. Can go out in small groups. No doubt that they'll be doing patrols. A reminder to be extra vigilant; those in the ghillie suits are being extra crafty.

Also be aware; heard some loud gunfire way further down into the swamp. Think it may be coming from past the crashed plane. Definitely something big.

Everything went to shit for my little plan to figuring out them towers, I couldn't even find them in the swamp while we we where out there. But we did some little recon trips and managed to figure out the best way to keep rolling our plans along, there's a mineshaft just by the bridge on the other side of the river, heard some zeds inside, but it has to have a way through it, them military types clearly were using it and had no issues with the zeds.

Another thing to mention to everyone, probably one of the more important announcements, Summers was shot, and Vincent is missing.. Now by the way things are looking, its either what you're thinking right now, or someone did this to both of them. So I ask everyone to be cautious and keep your eyes peeled, until Summers is able to tell us herself what happened, I'd rather not speculate, so lets just stay on the fence, and be ready for anything.

I plan on checking out that mineshaft tomorrow, though I want someone back at base to keep an eye on the wounded. I don't want another Summers incident to happen.

Trey-, Fio... I need to speak to the both of you as soon as possible- together. It's about the so called 'Trial' you and Mcarthy and Lily gave Melissa....

Signed- Masha, the incandescent ball of rage from Yakutsk.

I wasn't part of the trial. Believe you might be thinking of Knight. But I'll see what you want.

A small note from Fio, overshadowed by a slightly larger note from Bob.

Not like there was really a trial to be honest.

overshadowed by a slightly larger note from Bob.

Melissa deserved to be there to bear witness anyway- and because you and the others decided to let your egos RULE you- you decided Melissa didn't have the right to be present for it.... I am sorry for what happened to Vincent, he didn't deserve to go out like that-, but you? You can take that badge and shove it where the sun doesn't shine. You shouldn't be wearing it... Not at all.

If we're going to be pointing fingers at people, the crap you pulled in the end in the bunker was NOT fucking right. We all have some hatred towards the false military personnel, but that was FUCKED UP.

Mel is back with us, so DROP IT. We don't have to RUN CIRCLES about this. Stop trying to
PICK FIGHTS. Mel has the medication she NEEDS, and we have to make sure we keep an eye out for more, as well as other meds INCASE OTHER PEOPLE NEED THEM. Fio is an outstanding sheriff. I only speak on his behalf because he literally can't speak (p.s; haha. Bad joke).

There is no one here letting their ego run rampant. It was at the time for what was best for the group, and Mel EARNED her place back with us. She redeemed herself.

IN OTHER NEWS. BIG NEWS! THE UNITED STATES NAVY HAS MADE CONTACT! Sounds like they are still alive and are based somewhere in Cuba. Bad news is that we have to get our way over there; can't risk losing their own, at least at this time. I'll be talking with some others and trying to figure a route for us to take so we can find some REAL salvation.

McCarthy wanted her executed. And there are others, still living, who wanted her to be tortured to death. The only thing I could do to guarantee her safety was to make sure McCarthy and our military vets didn't cut her to bloody pieces with a machete.

And if you have a problem with the decision that Lily made to spare Melissa for the terrible accident that she had no control over during a mental health crisis, then you can take that opinion and shove it up your ugly ass.

Seeing their prisoner- Lyna- in the state she was in... It made something in my soul snap. No, what I did wasn't right- it was... Outright demonic. I actually threw up a couple of times on the way back.. I ended up having to get blackout fucking DRUNK just to be able to close my eyes and not see that poor bastard's face.... May the sorry fuckers rest in peace.

U.S. Military still being extant somewhere is pretty good news! Though after what's happened in these swamps- I'm not putting my trust in any military from now on-, and there's no way in hell I'm headed to Cuba. I've got obligations up north to take care of-, so the moment we even step foot in a port city? I'll be gone- and no longer anyone's problem but mine.

I'm gonna' stick back for a while, look at the maps- see about maybe locating a clinic nearby to look through-, hopefully find some meds and MAYBE some medical textbooks. God knows we need them... Amputated limbs, lethal(but recovering from) malnutrition, Schizophrenia and PTSD en masse... That's a medical cocktail I wish on no one.

Signed, M.D.

Those people in the swamp renounced themselves as being part of the US Military. Hell from humanity honestly. Given that there's been some people that tried to escape, either were unaware of what was going on, or were next in line to do whatever fucked up shit and didn't want to. Regardless, they're taken care of.

I'd like to think that the Navy that took residence in Cuba are good in some capacity. Worst case scenario, if they're just the same like those in the swamp; guess I'll just go out guns blazing.

If you really are going to leave though; recommend trying to find any additional survivors and try heading north. The Louisiana State Penitentiary, if it's no longer filled with criminals and just has infected, could probably be cleared out. Has about three long moats of water, and covered obviously with fencing and concrete walls.

The state penitentiary... No offense, Trey- but that's a dumb shit idea. These infected aren't shamblers that are too dumb to try to climb or break down whatever's in their way- they'll just pile ontop of one-another if a big enough horde forms up... Even as the razor wire cuts them up- they'll keep piling until the flesh is higher than the concrete and steel. On top of that- I heavily doubt the convicts just simply escaped- hell, if there were any particularly important gang leaders there- they probably just had the same idea you did and took over the prison and turned it into a fortress once they realized how pizdec everything outside's gotten.

I'm bringing Demitra and Bob with me when I go-, fact of the matter is that the Feds had Demitra in lockup for a reason- they'll probably kill her if she shows up in Cuba-, if the Navy has had contact with us, then they've had contact with the federal government.
Furthermore- if she goes with you to Cuba, she likely won't be the only one of you they kill- as far as I'm aware- harboring foreign military operatives is considered treason and WILL get anyone caught doing so- executed without trial.

I'll do what I can, but if I establish an enclave- and that's a big IF- nobody will be able to find it- even with bloodhounds. It'll be alright.

Signed with gratitude and sincerity, Masha.

We will be out of this place soon. As for(hopefully) the rest of you? You'll be off on a Navy carrier... Then to Cuba- rebuilding your lives and getting a second chance at it- that is if the military doesn't shoot you all in the back when you get there.... Regardless- I won't be joining you. I'll take my chances out there on my own-, and I've got my reasons. One of them is the fact that I have two people who care about and love me- waiting for me up in Newbury, and I am NOT leaving them behind. If it weren't for that? I still wouldn't come along. Recent events... have erased my trust in the federal government-, as if I had any in the first place... Heh.

If any one of you has any doubt at all that your life will actually go back to normal(or relatively) in Cuba... I invite you- happily, to come along with me.

Should anyone decide to join me- I've already planned out the workings of a general route. We'll(Or I'll) steer clear of the cities, travel by wilderness and the night within small towns-, carefully and quietly... Raiding those same infested towns under the cover of darkness for supplies whenever needed- And we'll head northwest through Alabama- then east through Tennessee, northwest through Kentucky- then through the Virginias until we get to Maine... Or- at least that's where I'm going.
My family's up in Newbury by now(I hope.), I paid good money to a smuggler to get them up that far- so that we could either hide out in the mountains and restart our lives in the lush wilderness- or figure out a way back to Sakha...

In any case-, that's an alternative for those amongst you that don't want to put your faith and lives into the United States Military- or the feds... One I'll offer freely.

To us? Godspeed.

- Masha
