A.A_Piper [OWNER]: There's been a gang shootout down at the Atchafalaya on Laurel Street. Three dead, Seven injured mostly civilians caught in the crossfire. Other smaller shootouts and murders suspected to be from the 110ers Gang against a local cartel according to what I've gathered, or at least as much as I was able to get before getting shooed away when the NOPD arrived.
Amongst the dead was Santiago Mesaluchi who was suspected to be a member of the local Cartel and was involved in the death of two 110ers Gang members, though he got off scott free cause it was placed under self defense.
Garden District and the districts surrounding it had their threat rating increased to either Medium or High. Please stay safe when in those districts as NOPD is going to try end the violence.

A.A_Piper [OWNER]: Update on the Cartel and 110ers sitch. Apparently there was a brawl out at Second Street next to the WG Opera Orientation. Men of the 110ers and the Cartels met up with melee weapons and brawled it out. Police managed to break it up but not after 6 (4 110ers and 2 Cartel member) were killed or hospitalized whilst the rest managed to flee.
The wounds were mostly blunt force trauma or cuts, there were three deaths. The lone Cartel member had his head caved in by a sledgehammer or other blunt melee weapon, a 110er gang member had deep wounds from a pitchfork going through the right side of his chest out the left side of his back impaling his heart and both lungs.
The hospitalized 110er gang members had similar wounds to the dead 110er gang member, including several cuts and lacerations from other weapons. No firearms were used but the hospitalized 110ers are in critical condition. Fortunately this time no civilians were caught in the brawl. Upon further looking a second Cartel member was found that had died from blood loss in a alleyway at the back of the WG Opera Orientation building.
Identity of the dead cartel member is still being processed through DNA but the 110er gang members and the one Cartel member that died from blood loss due to several arteries getting cut as well as having internal bleeding from broken ribs, alongside a broken right arm and both legs were identified as the following.
Andrew Hayes - 21, warrant for assault with a deadly weapon, armed robbery, assault and battery of a police officer. Dead.
Lucas O'hanity - 19, warrant for armed robbery, grand theft auto, assault with a deadly weapon, murder of a government official and tax evasion. Hospitalized, In custody.
David Bayer - 22, warrant for assault with a deadly weapon, 4 accounts of First Degree Murder, 6 accounts of manslaughter. Hospitalized, In custody.
Michael 'Mikey' Roman - 20, warrant for assault with a deadly weapon, drug dealing and DUI. Hospitalized, In custody.
Manuel 'Papi' Eservatio - 46, warrant for Drug trafficking, trafficking of illegal immigrants, Assault with a deadly weapon, 22 accounts of First and Second Degree murder, 13 accounts of manslaughter, Illegal ownership of firearms, murder of a government official, murder of 6 Police officers. Identified as a high ranking member of the Local cartel. Dead.
Several weapons have been left and ditched on the scene and are currently being tested for finger prints.
The WG Opera Orientation is currently closed and the street has been blocked off till further notice.

A.A_Piper [OWNER]: Update on the sitch yesterday, the previously unidentifiable Cartel member has been identified as 29 year old Emanuel Casemar who had charges for drug trafficking and many and I mean MANY accounts of murder. Will keep updating about the sitch as it is currently ongoing.
